Buying a Great Value Suit
There are a lot of bad mens suits around. Some are extremely low quility, badly cut, poorly made and don't fit. On the opposite side of things, there are also a lot of suits that are well made, and look great. And, sometimes the best value suits are the ones that are well made, because value is not always represented by a cheap garment, you need a mens suit that is going to stand the test of time, and still be wearable.
And that's the first key to picking a great value mens suit. You need to chose an item which is going to be timeless, something that you'll still be happy to wear in a year from now. So, dont pick something too over the top or cutting edge unless it's a suit for a specific event.

The second key to buying a suit is to buy the correct size. If you've never been measured for a mens suit before - please do so. In any decent suit store they should be able to measure you for your correct size.
Now figure out your jacket style. If you're a slim man, a double breasted or two button suit may be best for you. Otherwise, a three button suit generally gives a timeless look. Move around while you're wearing the suit, to ensure that it doesn't bulge or pull along the sides. As far as the shoulders go, remember that usually these cannot be altered, so pick wisely.
Try on the pants of your suit - for a mens suit, the pants need to be comfortable but fitted. Once again, move around and ensure that there are no strange stretches. For your suit, you'll have a number of pants styles to chose from, which is essentially up to you, although cuffs are generally regarded as dressier.
