Fashion Tie
Picking a tie that is in fashion can be a trying experience. There is a lot to think about here - colour, pattern, and most of all, will it match with what I currently have in the wardrobe? So, as mere men, how do we know which ties are in fashion, and whether they will suit us?
If you are looking for a fashion tie, one of the first things that you will need to take into consideration is the quality of the tie. After all, a poor quality garment is NEVER in fashion. So please, before going out and buying a tonne of cheap ties, consider buying just one or two (or three) great, high quality ties that will match with your wardrobe. Often no tie at all is better than a bad one.
If you are specifically looking for a fashion tie - that is one that is currently fashionable, you'll need to do some research. You'll also need to understand that not all fashion ties suit all types of men, or their wardrobes. Also think of the occasion that you'll be wearing the tie. Is it for a special one-off occasion, or is it going to be something that you're wearing day-to-day. The difference here is that if the tie is for a one off occasion, you can construct your outfit simply for that day. Otherwise, you'll need to purchase a tie that goes with the rest of your wardrobe, so that you can get the most value out of the fashion tie that you purchase.
It never hurts to take a shirt or two into the store with you when buying a tie. This will help you to avoid the temptation of buying a tie that you think looks great, or is in fashion, and getting it home and finding that it does not match with any of your wardrobe. Holding shirts to the tie, and doing things in a more analytical way will help you take a deep breath, slow down, and get the right tie.
